George J. Relias has extensive experience in corporate real estate matters involving large fortune 500 firms. His experience ranges from managing tax appeal work for national clients to managing and administering multi-site portfolios.

Prior to forming the Relias Law Group, Mr. Relias was a partner with the law firms of Relias & Tsonis LLC and Fisk Kart Katz and Regan, Ltd, and of-counsel with the Enterprise Law Group, where he was involved with all aspects of real estate tax appeals and assessment law.  He has helped reduce the tax liabilities for most asset classes, including retail, industrial, office, hotels and multi-family properties.

Previously, Mr. Relias served as Vice President for NAI Hiffman Asset Management. He managed the property accounting and reporting for a 2.5 million square foot portfolio that included such Chicago landmarks as the Wrigley, Inland Steel, and Marquette building.

Mr. Relias held the position of Midwest Director of Portfolio Management and Lease Administration for CB Richard Ellis.  His responsibilities included administering the worldwide lease portfolio for American Express.  Furthermore, he was responsible for developing and implementing service delivery solutions and performance measures for corporate clients.  He worked with clients such as Ford Motors and Continental Airlines.

Mr. Relias has been highly effective in applying technology to the real estate field.  For example, he helped develop a management tool to help property owners track, plan and monitor their real estate obligations, including real property tax assessment information, which was then successfully implemented and used by SBC/Ameritech, Chrysler, CenturyLink (formerly Qwest Communications) and United Healthcare, among others.

In addition to being a licensed Illiinois Attorney, Mr. Relias is a licensed Managing Real Estate Broker as well as a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, and the Chicago Hellenic Bar Associations.  He received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University and a Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
